We should seek to satisfy God in everything since we believe in Him. The Bible says, “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men” (Col 3:23). This sentence tells us God’s requirement: Do things before God and accept His inspection; do not be subject to the constraints of people, events, or things and do not do things before men. In this way, our hearts can be set aright and we can easily receive God’s blessings and guidance. The Pharisees always purposely prayed in intersections so that everyone could see them. They focused on doing things before men, yet had no knowledge of God and nailed the incarnate God to the cross. This shows that outward practices are not important, seeking to satisfy God in everything and living before God is of the utmost importance.
