Is it very important to fear God? Yes, very important. It relates to mankind’s attitude toward God. If we have a heart that fears God, we will seek God’s will in everything and do it according to God’s requirements. Take Job, he feared God and shunned evil. He hated his children’s feasting, so he always prayed and gave sacrifice for them. Moreover, he stood testimony satisfying God when he was tempted by Satan. Let’s read the following Bible verses about fear of God, hoping you can get enlightenment and encouragement from them. Proverbs 16:6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil. Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in your own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
